Maintenance
Raw hair is known for its natural texture, durability, and luxurious look.
With proper care, it can last 1–2 years or more. Follow these steps to keep your bundles looking beautiful and healthy:
1. Co-Wash Before Installing
Gently cleanse your hair with a moisturizing conditioner (co-washing) before installing. This removes any debris from processing and restores softness.
2. Use Sulfate-Free Shampoo
Wash your hair with a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo every 1–2 weeks. Avoid harsh shampoos that strip natural oils.
3. Condition Regularly
Deep condition your hair to keep it hydrated and manageable. Let the conditioner sit for 10–15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
4. Detangle Gently
Detangle your hair using a wide-tooth comb or fingers, starting from the ends and working your way up. Always detangle when the hair is damp and conditioned.
5. Protect At Night
Wrap your hair with a satin or silk scarf or use a satin bonnet to reduce friction and prevent tangling while you sleep.
6. Air Dry Hair When Possible
After washing, gently blot the hair with a towel and allow it to air dry. Avoid excessive blow-drying.
With proper care, your raw hair will maintain its beauty, bounce, and longevity. Treat it like your natural hair and it will reward you with lasting results.
